Bill Carter talks Kennedy and Arkansas

Here’s a great video interview on The Arkansas Times posted by Lindsey Millar.

Millar explains, “We thought it fitting, on the 50-year anniversary of President Kennedy inaugurating the Greers Ferry Dam, to run this part of the interview, where Carter talks about handling some of the logistics of Kennedy’s visit, including dealing with Orval Faubus, who tells Carter in confidence that he’s a big fan of Kennedy’s. Plus, Carter talks about working for the Secret Service in the immediate wake of Kennedy’s assassination and why serving under Lyndon Johnson made up want to change careers.”
